Bill Lee has been the Commissioner of the Frontier League since 1994, the League's second year of operation. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a degree in Mass Communications, Lee played in the Atlanta Braves organization and the independent Lone Star League. Lee then worked for the Birmingham Barons as their Assistant General Manager and Public Relations Director before moving on to become the General Manager of the Chattanooga Lookouts, where he was named Southern League's Executive of the Year in 1989. While Lee has been the Frontier League Commissioner, the League has enjoyed great success, expanding into a fourteen-team circuit with clubs in two countries and seven states.
