Andrew Cohn

Emory University alum Andrew Cohn became one of the first to join the Boomers after signing a contract in November 2011.

A four-year letter winner at Emory University, an NCAA Division III program in Atlanta, Ga., Cohn boasted a .331 career batting average with 200 hits in 160 career games as a member of the Eagles. Cohn, whose father Mike played baseball at Yale University, was named to the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) All-Conference Team in each of his four years at Emory and took home Gold Glove honors in 2011.

Playing primarily third base and shortstop, the Atlanta, Ga. native was also a three-year ESPN Academic All-American nominee and attended Alan C. Pope High School in Marietta, Ga., the same school as Frontier League Deputy Commissioner Steve Tahsler.
