![]() Sara Romano joined the Schaumburg Boomers in October 2011 as Community Relations Intern after spending last season with the Frontier League’s Joliet Slammers. With the Slammers, Romano experienced the fun, the chaos, and the challenges of working in minor league baseball. She is excited to be a part of the team that brings the new franchise to Schaumburg. Prior to working with the Slammers, Romano attended the University of Notre Dame. While in college, she worked three summers at O’Connor Partners, a Chicago-based accounting firm. Romano grew up and currently resides in Des Plaines, IL. She is the oldest of three siblings. Although lacking any firsthand playing experience, she can walk around the bases on her hands due to fifteen years of gymnastics training. Romano loves working in minor league baseball and getting to experience all aspects of the game she grew up watching, from daily game logs to on-field entertainment to tarp pulling.
