03/24/17 - UPDATE: The Gary SouthShore RailCats, Schaumburg Boomers, and Florence Freedom have announced a change
of location for their joint try-out camp on April 2nd.

The camp will now be held in VACAVILLE, CA, 10 miles East of the original location, on Sunday, April
2nd on the campus of Vacaville High School, home of the Bulldogs.

The baseball diamond is located in the back northwest corner of the campus - opposite side of the campus of
the football field. Ample parking is located adjacent to the ballpark as well as in the main parking lot.


SCHAUMBURG, Ill. —Following a five-year stint in Tennessee, The 2016 Frontier League Organization of the Year Schaumburg Boomers and the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association will hold their annual spring tryout camp in California on Sunday, April 2nd at Vacaville High School. Both teams will be joined by the fellow Frontier League team, the Florence Freedom. At least two Major League organizations will be represented as well.

The two-time Frontier League Champion Boomers and the three-time League Champion RailCats have reaped the benefits on one of the nation’s most successful and productive individual team try-out camps. Over 50 players have signed pro contracts and/or invited to Spring Training.

Sunday, April 2nd at Vacaville High School

The camp is open to all free agent players age 18 and up. There is a $100.00 fee to participate in the camp, payable in cash only, due upon registration the day of the camp.

Players need to supply their own equipment, including wood bats and catchers gear, and dressed in appropriate baseball apparel.
