Perez enters his second season with the Boomers in 2023 after pitching 13 times last year, tossing 26 innings. The Dominican Republic native switched to the rotation late in the year, starting three times and started Game One of the playoffs against both Washington and Quebec, earning the win against Washington. Perez came to the Boomers after appearing 10 times for Gastonia in the Atlantic League. The right-hander reached Double-A with the Orioles after coming to the United States in 2017.
