The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native was a four-time College All-Region pitcher and a two-time College All-American during an outstanding collegiate career where he holds the Mount Olive record for most strikeouts in a game at 18.

Parenty, 24, will return for his second season for Schaumburg. The Wantagh, New York native played in 69 games during the regular season for the Boomers where he batted .272 and had an on-base percentage of .318 in 258 plate appearances. Parenty played most of his time in the field at second base where he had only had three errors in 110 attempts, but also was a great utility player in the field for the Boomers where he spent time at shortstop, left field, and right field. Parenty attended Stony Brook University in New York and was named the America East Conference Player of the Year in 2015 and earned a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region team.

Morgenstern, 23, will make his debut with the Boomers this upcoming 2018 season. In 2017, Morgenstern was a part of the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association as a reliever. He made appearances in 10 games pitching 20.1 innings and posting a 1-1 record with a 5.31 ERA. He pitched a total of 86.2 innings, striking out 101 batters on his way to being awarded the 2017 Most Outstanding Pitcher for the Vikings, and also earning an ABCA/Rawlings All-Central Region second team selection.
