First Home Game in Franchise History Tonight!!

History will be made tonight as the Schaumburg Boomers take to the field for the first time in front of the home fans with a 6:30 p.m. game against the Florence Freedom.

Plenty of excitement surrounds the opening of Boomers Stadium including a pair of pregame ceremonies as well as fireworks and a pair of giveaways plus all of the in-game fun of entertainment and of course baseball.

The Boomers return from the first roadtrip of the season with a 3-3 record after falling in last night’s finale at Windy City 6-2. The tying run was in the on deck circle in the ninth inning before the ThunderBolts recorded the final out to pick up the win.

LHP Cameron Roth (1-0, 0.00) draws the assignment of pitching the home opener. Roth will face Dan DeSimone (0-0, 0.00) who will make his season debut with Florence.
