Six-Game Homestand Concludes Sunday

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — After a brief three-game trip to Marion, Ill. for a series against the Southern Illinois Miners, the Schaumburg Boomers return to beautiful Boomers Stadium on June 5 for a six-game homestand, highlighted by Cancer Survivors’ Night presented by Northwest Community Healthcare on Saturday, June 9.

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is teaming up with the Boomers on Saturday, June 9 for Cancer Survivors’ Night. As the presenting partner of the celebratory event, the Boomers and NCH are inviting all cancer survivors, their support teams and baseball fans alike to participate in special activities before enjoying a night of competitive baseball.

Prior to the Schaumburg Boomers taking on the first-place River City Rascals, NCH will lead an on-field survivor parade at 5:20 p.m. for cancer survivors, and their families and friends. A pre-game address will follow the parade to honor and acknowledge the courage of these brave men and women. Individuals participating in the parade are encouraged to come early, with gates opening at 5 p.m. at Boomers Stadium, 1999 South Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.

The Boomers will hold a silent auction during the game for the special themed jerseys Boomers players will wear during the game, with the proceeds going to charity. Auction winners will meet and have their picture taken with the player whose jersey they win on the field after the game!

Throughout the game, NCH experts will be on hand with information and resources about the cancer care services and treatment options available at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. For more information on Northwest Community Healthcare, visit www.nch.org.

Tickets are available NOW for the Inaugural Season of Boomers Baseball. Don’t miss out on all the fun! Call the Boomers today at 847.461.3695, visit www.boomersbaseball.com or stop by the Boomers Box Office during regular business hours or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Before we celebrate the bravery of these men and women, the Gateway Grizzlies invade Schaumburg for the first time on Tuesday, June 5 for a three-game series. With free parking at every game, an easy to get to location, players paid to win and nonstop zany fun, the Boomers are the best value in the Chicagoland area for affordable, family entertainment.
