Boomers vs. ThunderBolts TONIGHT @ 6:30 p.m.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - It's the final game of a six-game homestand with the Schaumburg Boomers looking to clinch a winning record over the weekend as well as avoid the sweep at the hands of the Windy City ThunderBolts Tuesday evening.

Dustin Williams stole the show on Monday night, handing the Boomers back-to-back losses at home for the first time this season by pitching a complete game for the Windy City ThunderBolts in a 5-1 win for the visitors. Williams struck out nine in the first nine-inning complete game involving the Boomers this season.

Brandon Decker homered for the ThunderBolts in the second inning to put Windy City ahead and the guests added three unearned runs in the fourth to extend the margin to 4-0. Sean Mahley connected on his second homer of the season in the bottom of the fourth to account for the lone Schaumburg run. The Boomers managed just two hits in the loss, matching a season low. Schaumburg mustered just three base runners total counting Mahley’s homer. The Boomers have homered in four consecutive contests.

The homestand wraps up tonight with a Hometown Tuesday honoring the host community for the Boomers, Schaumburg. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. RHP Shane Prance, who pitched 6.2 innings in his pro debut on Thursday, will make a return mound visit for the Boomers against a converted reliever in RHP Blayne Weller.

Schaumburg is 13-4 at home on the season and can still finish with a winning homestand with a victory tonight. Windy City is 5-0 against the Boomers this year.
