SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - While the Boomers won 9-8 in 12 innings over the Wild Things Friday, the Village of Schaumburg's forced the postponement of the fireworks scheduled for Friday to be a late addition to Saturday's Jimmy Buffett Night at Boomers Stadium!

Due to the Village of Schaumburg’s 10:30 p.m. curfew on fireworks displays at Boomers Stadium, the Boomers were forced to postpone tonight’s scheduled Melrose Pyrotechnics performance. However, the fireworks have been rescheduled for after Saturday evening’s 6 p.m. first pitch against the Wild Things. All tickets (used or unused) from Friday’s 9-8 Schaumburg win will be honored for Saturday’s game so stop by the Box Office to exchange you ticket stub from Friday for an available seat for Saturday.

The same two teams that played 12 innings last night meet Saturday evening with a scheduled 6 p.m. first pitch as LHP Cameron Roth (5-2, 2.35) takes the hill for Manager Jamie Bennett and the Boomers with RHP Chris Smith (3-3, 2.76) getting the call for the Wild Things. Schaumburg looks be the second team to 30 wins in the Frontier League in 2012 and improve to a staggering 21-5 in games at Boomers Stadium. Chad Mozingo enters the game riding a franchise-record 12-game hitting streak as the Boomers sit atop the West Division.
