SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers will celebrate Superheroes Night on Friday, July 13, and the first-place team will take the opportunity to honor members of the local community with the “My Superhero Contest.” Tell us about your hero on the Boomers Facebook Page or via email to [email protected] to have him or her honored at the Boomers game and for a chance to win great Boomers prizes.

Whether your hero is courageously fighting a disease or illness, doing something encouraging in the community or simply your mom or dad that cooks, cleans and provides for you, the Boomers are looking to honor everyone’s hero at the Boomers game this Friday. Every “superhero” will receive a free ticket to Friday’s Boomers game and the Boomers staff will choose the person with the most inspirational story to throw out a Ceremonial First Pitch and win a free luxury suite for the night!

There’s no need to write a novel as the Boomers are looking for submissions that are 50 words or less on the Boomers Facebook Page or via email to [email protected] so take a few minutes to share your superhero with us and then join us at the game on Friday to see your nomination on the videoboard or on the field. Your email submission must include your contact information (Name, Phone Number and Email Address) in order to be eligible to win.

ADDITIONAL RULES: Cannot nominate self, one free ticket per superhero – multiple nominations for same person does not increase chances of winning or number of free tickets, winner selected at the sole discretion of the Schaumburg Boomers, and all entries must be received by 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 12.
