Be One of the First to Meet the Boomers Mascot!

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers welcome you to be one of the first to meet the New Mascot which will be unveiled at a special ceremony at the Community Recreation Center in Schaumburg at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9.

All are welcome to help the Boomers front office greet the newest member of the Boomers Family! This event is open to the public so make plans today to be among the first lucky fans to get your picture taken with the new mascot and take home his autograph too! Bring your smart phones and be one of the first to share the Boomers new mascot with the world on Facebook or Twitter! Guests are encouraged to arrive before 3:30.

The Community Recreation Center is located at 505 N. Springingsguth Road, Schaumburg Illinois, 60194. Upon arrival at the Community Rec Center, there will be signs and members of the Boomers front office staff directing you to the location of the unveiling ceremony.

The Schaumburg Boomers are Chicagoland's newest professional sports franchise set for their first season in the independent Frontier League. The Boomers, named after a nickname for the male prairie chicken that once roamed throughout the Midwest but is now found on the endangered list in Illinois, will play 48 home games at Boomer Stadium in Schaumburg in 2012 and for more information check out www.boomersbaseball.com.
