Free Coaches Clinic Set for April 28

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers will hold their First Annual Free Coaches Clinic on Saturday, April 28 at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The clinic will feature professional instruction intended for coaches of youth baseball and softball teams to learn tips, tricks and techniques to help improve coaching skills and to become a more complete coach.

Whether you are entering your first season as a youth league coach or your fifteenth, the Boomers Coaches Clinic will provide coaches of all experience levels the opportunity to learn from a staff with close to 30 years of coaching experience. From drills designed to teach proper fundamentals to advice on baseball strategy to tips to improve a player’s mental approach to the game, the Boomers staff will share their successes and failures at this free event.

The entire Boomers coaching staff will be on hand for the event including: Manager Jamie Bennett, Hitting Coach C.J. Thieleke, Bench Coach Mike Kashirsky and Dominican University Assistant Coach John Wagle, who signed with the Boomers as a free agent but elected to retire in late February.
