SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — With three games crammed full of fun with two fireworks shows, eating-champ Kobayashi and great giveaways each day, the Schaumburg Boomers look to sweeten an already great deal and encourage fans to spend their Memorial Day Weekend at the ballpark with the introduction of the Opening Weekend Pass.

Plan your “Staycation” with the Opening Weekend Pass as the package includes a seat to each of the three games against the Florence Freedom, a $30 value, for just $25! There are two ways to get your Opening Weekend Pass now: in person at the Boomers Box Office during regular business hours (Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and over the phone at 847.461.3695. Every Boomers game features free parking and the ability for fans of all ages to run the bases after the game, and Opening Night will be a celebration of baseball’s triumphant return to Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs. The Boomers will power-on their new Daktronics HD videoboard giving Schaumburg fans a chance to be caught on the fan cam for the first time. The Boomers will also give away an Orange T-Shirt to the first 4,000 fans to “Orange Out” the ballpark, 3,500 magnet schedules and introduce the world to all the fun and excitement that is Boomers Baseball with fireworks after the game, performed by Melrose Pyrotechnics.

World-renowned competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi stops by the very next night on Saturday, May 26 for the Boomers 6 p.m. game. In addition to Kobayashi signing autographs and displaying his eating prowess, the Boomers will be celebrating Opening Weekend with a one-of-a-kind Prairie Chicken Helmet Giveaway for the first 1,500 fans through the gates, presented by Wintrust Community Banks.

The Boomers will also take the opportunity during Opening Weekend to honor the men and women of our armed forces with an extra group discount on top of the already affordable group prices on Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, May 27 with a special 6:30 p.m. start time so we can spoil you with the second set of fireworks on Opening Weekend. The Boomers will give away camouflage backpacks to the first 1,500 fans and dedicate the evening to our veterans and active military personnel.
