SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Single game tickets for the sophomore season of Schaumburg Boomers Baseball will be available to the public beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, and in case that isn’t enough to get fans out of bed, the team will be auditioning candidates to perform as a giant male prairie chicken for the 2013 season.   

After a successful Inaugural Season that introduced the world to Schaumburg Boomers Baseball, Chicagoland’s newest minor league baseball franchise is ready for an encore full of fun, fireworks, and free parking! The second season begins on Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. when the Boomers take on the Windy City Thunderbolts in Schaumburg. 

On Saturday, March 16, individual-game tickets for all 51 Boomers home games will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there are three ways to purchase: at the Boomers Box Office located at 1999 S. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg, online at www.boomersbaseball.com or over the phone at 847.461.3695. 

Every Boomers home game features free parking and the ability for fans of all ages to run the bases after the game. The best dates and the best seats are sure to go fast, so get your tickets today for the ever-popular Fireworks Fridays! The Boomers will also be home over the 4th of July, and are celebrating with three straight days of fireworks from July 3-5. 

In case being one of the first in line to purchase tickets isn’t reason enough to get out to the ballpark, stick around as the Boomers audition candidates to be the 2013 Mascot Performer. There are sure to be plenty of laughs, high-fives, and tail-feather shaking to go around, so you won’t want to miss this!
