Schaumburg Native to Coach Boomers Pitchers

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Boomers will have a new pitching coach as Schaumburg’s own T.J. Nall will join Jamie Bennett’s coaching staff in 2013. 

You can find the full story in the sports section of today’s Daily Herald or online here. High School reporter Marty Maciaszek covered Nall while he was a prep star at Schaumburg High School in the late 90’s had a chance to catch up with the former 8th round pick of the Dodgers this week.

“Being from Schaumburg is an added bonus for us, but we’re hiring him because of his baseball background and what he brings to the table as a pitching coach.” Boomers Manager Bennett said.

The Boomers are the right fit at the right time,” Nall said. “I’m really excited to get back into pro ball and see where it takes me.”
