SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Summer can’t come soon enough in Schaumburg, and Chicagoland’s newest minor league baseball franchise is gearing up for a spectacular second season full of wacky theme nights and awesome promotions—all presented with the family-friendly atmosphere and affordability that has become synonymous with Schaumburg Boomers Baseball!

With a first-class fan experience as our top priority, the Schaumburg Boomers are excited to announce the Promotional Schedule for the second half of the 2013 Season! Every Boomers home game features free parking and the ability for fans of all ages to run the bases after the game. In case that isn’t enough, these fun-filled promotions are sure to have each and every fan leaving the stadium with a smile! 

“There’s always something new and fun at Boomers Stadium, and there’s no other spot on earth where you’ll see Prairie Chickens, Harry Potter & a Bachelor Auction in the same place!” says Boomers GM/President Andy Viano. “The season is right around the corner so don’t delay on getting the best seats for Boomers baseball this summer.”

The second half of the season gets off to an early start with Day Camp Day number two scheduled for Tuesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. with kids galore enjoying an afternoon at the ballpark. The excitement continues on Thursday, July 25 as the Boomers pay homage to one of the best sitcoms of the 90’s (and get ready for the highly anticipated spinoff series “Girl Meets World”) with our Salute to Boy Meets World Night.  

Harry Potter Night starts off a jam-packed weekend on Friday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m. with a Harry Potter-themed fireworks show, a costume contest, scavenger hunt, and more! Come right back the very next night for The Great Ballpark Mystery, as fans must solve the crime of the century at Boomers Stadium. The weekend wraps up with All Faiths Day at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.

The good times keep on rolling in Schaumburg on Saturday, August 3 as the Boomers celebrate the rich musical tradition from From Boybands to Bieber. Everyone knows the words, whether you want to admit it or not, so say “Bye, Bye, Bye” to any excuses and join us for what is sure to be a great night, complete with the first-ever scheduled Saturday fireworks show in Boomers history. Backstreet’s back in Boomer Country for just One Time because we all want it that way! 

We’re letting the dogs (and cats!) out on Tuesday, August 13, so bring your four-legged friends to the game for the second Bark in the Park Night of the season, as your pooch can participate in the pre-game pet parade and even run the bases after the game! The next night the Boomers honor a different species of animal, paying homage to the team namesake with I ♥ Prairie Chickens on Wednesday, August 14. Start practicing, because there will definitely be a Booming Call Contest!

Dig out your cowboy boots and hat, because on Friday, August 16 the Boomers are bringing back a fan favorite with Country Night at the ballpark presented by US 99.5 FM. It’s sure to be a ho-down hootenanny of a good time, so join us for one of our favorite nights of the year, complete with a post-game fireworks show set to all of the country hits of the summer! 

The Boomers encourage you to play hooky on Wednesday, August 28 for our special 1 p.m. Businessperson’s Matinee. Take that extra-long lunch or better yet, convince your boss to close the office and treat the whole gang to an afternoon of Boomers Baseball! Come on back the very next night for the second annual Wine, Women, and Baseball event, so grab all the ladies in your life for a night for fun! With wine tastings on the concourse, and of course, the Boomers Bachelor Auction, its perfect for a Ladies Night Out! 

The sophomore season of Boomers Baseball wraps up with Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 5, as we salute the great fans of Boomer Country and say thank you for another year of support. What better way to end the season than with a grand finale of fireworks, of course?!
