Free Easter Egg Hunt and Open House Set for March 30

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Join the Boomers lovable mascot Coop the Boomer for an exciting day of egg hunts, raffles, stadium tours, and a silent auction with a little something for everyone at the second annual free Easter Egg Hunt and Open House beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30.

Be sure to bring your own basket for the day’s hunts which will be broken into five different age groups with eggs scattered all over the playing surface at Boomers Stadium. The opportunity to purchase Boomers single-game tickets is just one of the highlights of the afternoon, as fans can enter to win some great prizes from the Boomers and receive guided tours of Boomers Stadium including a special stop inside the Boomers Clubhouse! Boomers single-game tickets go on-sale on March 16 and the box office will definitely be open for business on March 30 so stop by to pick the best seats for Opening Day or any one of the 51 regular season home games the Boomers have on the 2013 schedule!

It simply couldn’t be a great Boomers event without the tennis ball toss and an opportunity for everyone to run the bases. Stick around after the diamond has been plucked clean from every last egg and piece of candy for these Boomers traditions. Not familiar with the tennis ball toss? Well throughout the day, Boomers staffers will be selling tennis balls with numbers on them. After the egg hunts conclude, take aim for targets on the field and land the tennis balls in them to win cash, tickets to Opening Day 2013 or other fabulous Boomers prizes!

The Boomers start their second season as Chicagoland’s premier minor league baseball team when they host the Windy City ThunderBolts on Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Boomers Stadium.
