The Boomers send St. Charles, Ill. native Danny Jimenez (0-0) to the mound. The southpaw is looking to win the series in Florence en route to picking up his first win of the year. Jimenez gave a quality start in a no decision last time out against Washington allowing two runs in six innings of work, striking out seven without a walk. Schaumburg faces off against LHP Brent Choban (0-0) who makes his second start on the season.

The Schaumburg Boomers (5-1) split the twin bill against the Florence Freedom (2-3) Tuesday night, falling in game one 2-0 and coming back to win game two 2-1.

Mike Giovenco (0-1) took the loss in game one for the Boomers despite tossing five innings of two-hit and two-run baseball. Game two saw the Boomers on the winning side of the scoring column as Boomers third baseman Frank Pfister smacked the first Schaumburg home run of the season. RHP Matt Kuna (2-0) picks up the win and James Bierlein tallied his second save on the season in the victory.
