SCHAUMBURG, Ill - It's official! The only home for playoff professional baseball in Chicagoland is Schaumburg, Ill. beginning on Saturday, September 7 at 8 PM after the Boomers clinched the franchise's first-ever Division Championship Friday.

By virtue of their 3-2 defeat of the Evansville Otters Friday evening, the Schaumburg Boomers claimed both the franchise's first-ever playoff berth as well as the Frontier League's West Division crown. 

The Boomers open the 2013 Frontier League Playoffs, powered by AEP Energy, at beautiful Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg on Saturday, September 7 at 8 p.m. following the Larry A. Pogofsky All-Star Challenge presented by Kia Motors. Game Two will be the very next day on Sunday, September 8 at 5 p.m. and Game Three if necessary is scheduled for Thursday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. The complete playoff schedule is listed below.

Schaumburg still has one more obstacle left in the regular season to cross off the list as the Boomers sit atop the overall Frontier League Standings by three games with five left in the regular season. The season wraps up with Kids Eat Free Tuesday on September 3rd, Half-Price Wednesday on September 4 and Fan Appreciation FIREWORKS on Thursday, September 5.
