For the first time in franchise history, the Schaumburg Boomers have advanced to the Frontier League Championship Series. After capturing the West Division title with a 59-37 regular season record, Schaumburg will host Games One and Two of the League Championship Series this weekend in Schaumburg—the only home for playoff baseball in the Chicagoland area!

The Schaumburg Boomers completed a three-game sweep of the Florence Freedom in the first round of the playoffs with a 9-8 extra-inning victory Tuesday night at UCMC Stadium. Their opponent in the League Championship is yet-to-be-determined, with the Traverse City Beach Bums up two games to one against the Lake Erie Crushers. Led by Frontier League Manager of the Year Jamie Bennett, the Boomers look to capture the first-ever League Championship in franchise history when the series begins this weekend at Boomers Stadium.

The Boomers will open the Frontier League Championship Series at Boomers Stadium on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. Game Two is scheduled for the next day, with a 5:00 p.m. start time on Sunday.  The complete Championship Series schedule is as follows:
