Boomers & Wintrust Community Banks Expand Partnership

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers are proud to announce Founding Partner Wintrust Community Banks as the new Presenting Partner of the defending Frontier League Champions and the Eighth Fastest-Growing Professional baseball franchise in the country.

The agreement, which runs through the 2018 season, will attach the Wintrust name to nearly everything Boomers, from in-stadium signage to the header of the team’s website, game tickets, social media pages, pocket schedule cover and much, much more.  The agreement also will bring a Wintrust logo to the Boomers uniforms beginning in the 2015 season.

“Wintrust Financial Corporation has been and continues to be one of the marquee businesses in Chicagoland, and we could not be prouder to have Wintrust as part of our family as both of us continue to grow,” said Andy Viano, Boomers President/General Manager. “We’re grateful that Wintrust put their faith in the Boomers from day one, and this extension of our partnership means that we can bring our two like-minded brands even closer together by following our shared commitment to building personal relationships with our customers, and by giving back to the communities that have supported us both.”

Built on the “HAVE IT ALL” model, Wintrust offers sophisticated technology and resources of a large bank while focusing on providing service-based community banking to each and every customer, with 15 bank subsidiaries and over 120 banking locations in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee markets.

"The Boomers have been great partners for us the last few years," stated Matt Doubleday, Wintrust's Senior Vice President – Marketing. "They field a winning team and have an outstanding organization that matches perfectly with our focus on families and community."

Expanding on their status as a Boomers Founding Partner, Wintrust Community Banks will have a significant presence with the Boomers not only through the club but also at banking locations throughout Chicagoland.  Wintrust is the presenting partner of the Boomers Bookworms Reading Program, which rewards beyond-the-classroom reading through dozens of area schools, and Coop’s FREE Boomers Kids Club which partners with the Wintrust Junior Savers program to give members the latest news, insight and discounts while teaching children and young adults the benefits of saving from an early age.

Wintrust is the title sponsor of Family Sundays, providing family-friendly activities at every single Sunday home game, including Post-Game Autographs, Chalk the Walk, Face Painters, a Magician and more, all for the value price of $36 for four tickets, hot dogs and sodas. Wintrust is also the title sponsor of a Saturday, June 21 Glow-in-the-Dark Baseball Hat Giveaway this summer. Plus, fans should be on the lookout for Coop the Boomer at Wintrust events throughout the region, and Wintrust mascot Buck the Dog at a number of games this summer.
