SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, had a scheduled contest with the Joliet Slammers postponed due to consistent rain on Wednesday evening.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, July 12 at 5:00 p.m. The rainout marks the second of the season at home and the third of the year. Schaumburg owns a 12-8 record all-time in doubleheaders.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL TICKETS from today's scheduled 6:30 p.m. contest against the Slammers officially become flex vouchers and can be exchanged for tickets to any of the remaining 2014 Boomers home games, based on availability. Reservations can be made over the phone at 847.461.3695, but you will need to bring the tickets from today's game (Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014) with you when you pick up your tickets at the box office.

Schaumburg continues the homestand on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. with the first of three consecutive fireworks displays as part of the Independence Day celebration. The contest can be heard live on AM 1410 WRMN with the Voice of the Boomers and 2013 Frontier League Broadcaster of the Year, Tim Calderwood.
