SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Leave the phone at home (or at least turn it off!) for Human Interaction Night on Saturday, July 26 when the defending Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, square off against the Traverse City Beach Bums at 6 p.m.

From a special guest appearance from “Wilson” from the movie Castaway to the “Talk to a Human” Booth on the concourse to the cell phone user dunce cap, Human Interaction Night is centered on appreciating some time together watching winning baseball (the 2013 Champion Boomers are 20-7 at home in 2014) and enjoying the opportunity to experience time with family or friends and maybe meet some new people in the process!

“It’s no secret that people are becoming more plugged in than ever before,” said Boomers President and General Manager Andy Viano. “We thought this night would be a unique way to take the Boomers experience – fun, affordable, family entertainment and a winning team – and take it a step further to encourage people to really spend quality time with each other in a great environment.”

The night begins with free stuff for the first 1,000 kids age 12 and under as the little ones will receive a free Youth T-Shirt courtesy of ABC Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electric and ends with a bang featuring a fantastic post-game fireworks show presented by COUNTRY Financial and 670 the Score.

As always, tickets start at just $7, everyone runs the bases after the game, and of course, parking is completely free at every Boomers game in order to provide fans the best in affordable family entertainment.

The weekend of fun at Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg kicks off with a Diamond Dig on Thursday, July 24 presented by Wyatt Austin Jewelers plus a Stadium Cup Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans courtesy of the Principal Financial Dreams Tour on Ladies Night featuring $2 Miller Lite drafts presented by Miller Coors and 103.9 the Fox!

Plus don’t miss one of our signature events with the World’s Largest Squirt Gun Fight where the entire ballpark becomes an all-out water war during the game on Sunday, July 27th at 1 p.m. Fans are strongly encouraged to bring their own super soaker but we’ll also have a squirt gun giveaway for the first 1,000 fans to enter the gates courtesy of WRMN 1410 AM Elgin!
