RECAP: Boomers Edged in Extras
LOVES PARK, Ill. — The 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, suffered a 4-3 10-inning loss to the Rockford Aviators on Saturday night.

All-Star Joey Wagman kept the Boomers at bay most of the night, striking out 11. Schaumburg grabbed a 1-0 lead when Alexi Colon crossed on a wild pitch in the fourth. Rockford scored three unanswered to grab a 3-1 lead against Seth Webster, who worked 6.1 innings and became the franchise’s all-time leader in strikeouts, passing Matt Kuna. The Boomers played longball in the ninth, tying the score. Colon homered to lead off the inning and Gerard Hall homered with one away to forced extras. Rockford walked off in the 10th to salvage a game in the series.
