RECAP: Boomers Win Seventh Straight
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, established a franchise record by claiming a seventh consecutive victory, rallying past the Traverse City Beach Bums 12-9 on Wednesday.

Schaumburg rallied from three different deficits to collect the win. The Boomers trailed 1-0, 3-2, and 7-4 in the game before a six-run fifth chased the Traverse City starter and handed the Boomers the lead for good. Alexi Colon opened the inning with a double, the first of six straight hits. The first seven to come to the plate reached base. Ty Nelson tied the game with an RBI single and Tony Delmonico doubled down the line in left to hand the Boomers the lead.

Danny Jimenez settled in following a four-run fourth, retiring the final 10 batters he faced. Jimenez worked seven innings and struck out eight to win for the sixth time. Dexter Price nailed down his 15th save by working the ninth. The Boomers rapped out 16 hits from eight different individuals and drilled a season high five doubles. Eight individuals scored a run and seven drove home a run. Joe De Pinto and Ty Nelson picked up three hits each.

Schaumburg (38-26) will look to continue the streak on Thursday night in a 6:05 p.m. contest. RHP Seth Webster (4-2, 2.90) takes the ball for the Boomers against RHP Tanner Tripp (1-5, 4.59).
