RECAP: Win Streak Ends at Windy City
CRESTWOOD, Ill.  — The 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, saw a franchise record and league best 10 game win streak come to an end in a 5-4 loss to the Windy City ThunderBolts on Sunday.

Alexi Colon put the Boomers ahead just two pitches into the game with a homer over the wall in right. Windy City’s Max White nailed a three run homer in the bottom of the inning to put the home team ahead. Windy City did not trail again. The Boomers scraped within a single run on three occasions but could not come from behind. Tony Delmonico homered in the eighth and Schaumburg had the tying run at second in the ninth. Seth Webster suffered the loss, working six innings. Delmonico finished with three hits.
