Boomers Stadium to host NJCAA Region 4 National Qualifier

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Schaumburg Boomers Stadium, Schaumburg, IL, will be hosting the second annual NJCAA Region 4 National Qualifying Tournaments/Region 4 Championships for DIVISIONS II AND III, Fri - Sun., May 15-17, 2015. Rain date is May 18. Four D II teams and two D III teams have qualified for this Championship Finals Event.

Division II qualifiers are: Madison College (Madison, WI, 39-10, #1 seed), Morton College (Cicero, IL, #11 seed, 16-36), Oakton Community College (Des Plaines, IL, #3 seed, 39-14), and Black Hawk College (Moline, IL, #5 seed, 34-22). These four teams won their D II Sectional Competitions on May 10. The two Division III Finals competitors are: Joliet Junior College (Joliet, IL, 33-23, #1 seed) and Illinois Valley Community College (Oglesby, IL, 33-17, #3 seed). The D II series is a double-elimination format, while the D III series is best two out of three games.

Friday games are 12 noon (Madison vs. Morton), 3:30 pm (Oakton vs. Black Hawk) and 7:00 pm (Joliet vs. Illinois Valley). Saturday games are, 9:00 am, D II losers game, 12:30, D II winners game, 4:00 pm D III and 7:30 pm, D II elimination game. Sunday's D II championship game will be at 12 noon. The "if needed" championship games for D III and D II will be at 3:30 and 7:00 pm respectively on Sunday, May 17. If only the D II extra game is needed, and not D III, then the 7:00 pm game will be moved up to 3:30.

Game day, per-game, tickets will be available at the Boomers ground level ticket window for each game. Admission is $5.00 per person. Stadium entrance will be up the stairs on the 1B side, after purchasing tickets on the lower level. There will be a concession stand in operation.
