SCHAUMBURG, Ill.  — The two-time defending Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, saw starting pitcher Edwin Carl come within three outs of a no-hitter only to drop a 3-2 decision to the Frontier Greys in 10 innings.

McQuail, Colon, and Craig Massey posted two hits apiece for the Boomers, who finished with nine in the game.
