Boomers Score Second Straight Win

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.  — The two-time defending Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, scored a second consecutive win by disposing of the Frontier Greys 6-2 on Wednesday night.

Jordan Dean doubled home Cam Sherrer, who walked, in the second. Brett Mabry kept the Greys at bay, working six blank innings on the mound to improve to 3-2 on the season. Schaumburg padded the lead with two runs in the fifth and seventh to move ahead 6-0. Hutter led a 10-hit attack with three hits. Dean and Justin Vasquez each picked up a pair of hits.
