SCHAUMBURG, IL – The two-time defending Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, saw Boomers second baseman Jordan Dean represent the Boomers proudly by tying for third place in the Frontier League All-Star Game Home Run Derby at Boomers Stadium July 14.

"It was awesome," Dean said following the game. "A couple of guys off the team were out there cheering me on obviously the home fans, a lot of our season ticket holders, and one kid I give lessons to (in Michigan) made the trip down to see me. It was a fun time. I tried to enjoy it and not take it to seriously."

Dean, who was also an All-Star for the Boomers in 2014, advanced to the semifinals of the eight man competition which was won by Traverse City Beach Bums slugger Reggie LawsonTaylor Ard of the River City Rascals finished second. Lawson recieved a commemorative bat and $250, while Ard recieved $100 as the runner up.

The two-time Frontier League All-Star will also appear in tomorrow's Frontier League All-Star Game at Boomers Stadium, one of four Boomers along with catcher Michael Valadez, pitcher Eddie Cody, and infielder Craig Massey who will be on the West Division squad.

"It's going to be nice," Dean continued. "We're at home this year I think it's going to be a little bit easier coming off the bench but doing it last year I know how to prepare myself a little bit better. It'll be fun, I'm looking forward to it."
