Boomers Washed Out in Ohio

AVON, Ohio —The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, were rained out for the second time this season on Saturday night.

Heavy, consistent rain with thunderstorms began falling late in the afternoon with rain forecasted for much of the night, forcing the postponement of the 6:05 p.m. contest with the Lake Erie Crushers. The teams will play a pair of seven-inning games at 4:05 p.m. Central Time on Sunday. The doubleheader marks the fourth of the season for the Boomers, who have split each of the first three, two of which were scheduled doubleheaders.

Schaumburg has only eight home games remaining on the schedule. Make the Boomers part of your plans before it is too late this summer by calling (847) 461-FOWL (3695). Hear all of the game action this season on AM 1410 WRMN with the voice of the Boomers, Tim Calderwood.
