BOOMERS LOOKING FOR PA ANNOUNCER, CONTEST ANNOUNCED
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers are now taking applications for those interested in becoming the new voice of Boomers Stadium.
The Boomers will be begin accepting online submissions immediately via YouTube. After reviewing the entries, which will close on Friday, April 22nd at 12pm, the Boomers will then invite the finalists to Boomers Stadium to audition for the Boomers staff over the stadium PA system.
The Public Address announcer is the primary voice for the Schaumburg Boomers at all 48 home games, and will work closely with the Boomers front office staff and on field MC to create a memorable experience for all fans.
The Boomers are looking for a strong vocal talent with excellent enunciation skills, strong public speaking skills, and the ability to speak to large crowds. Those interested in entering the contest must be prepared to work all 48 Boomers regular season games and any playoff games.
TO ENTER: In order to be a finalist, every candidate must submit an approximately 30 second YouTube video or mp3 audio file to Murphy Row, Boomers Director of Entertainment. Candidates are required to either send a link to the video on YouTube or attach the mp3 audio file in an email message to [email protected].

All submissions must be received by Friday, April 22nd at 12pm in order to be considered. The finalists will audition at Boomers Stadium in a contest designed to test voice projection, tone, pronunciation, improvisation skills, and general feel for the position.
