SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, are teaming up with Jewel-Osco for two food drives during the 2016 season to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank.  

The first of the two food drives will take place on June 18^th at the Jewel-Osco in Schaumburg located at 1151 S. Roselle Rd.  The food drive will take place from 10am-2pm and will feature members of the Boomers front office, select Boomers players, and of course Coop the Boomer, the team’s lovable prairie chicken mascot.  Fans will be invited to donate non-perishable food items and in exchange receive a complimentary ticket for the Boomers July 1^st, July 2^nd, or July 4^th game. 

The second of the two food drives will take place at the Boomers July 22^nd game, where donations will be taken at the Fan Information Booth.  Fans who donate will receive a raffle ticket to win a special Boomers prize at that night’s game.  The July 22^nd game, also Superhero Night, begins at 6:30pm and features post-game fireworks!
