SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers scored in five different innings to record a sweep of the Ottawa Titans, tallying a 10-6 win in the series finale at Wintrust Field on Thursday night.

All-Star Jason Dicochea connected on a two-run homer in the top of the first just two batters into the contest to put Ottawa ahead. Gaige Howard singled home the first run and Blake Berry tied it with a single. Kyle Fitzgerald doubled home the go-ahead run and Kokko Figueiredo knocked home two with a double.

Ottawa drew within 5-4 by scoring twice in the third but Craig notched a two-out two-run single in the bottom of the frame to push the lead back to three at 7-4. Schaumburg tallied single runs in the fifth and sixth on RBI singles from Craig and Figueiredo to push the lead to 9-4. Ottawa scored twice in the seventh but a sacrifice fly from Figueiredo accounted for the final score.

Hunter Hoopes threw five innings to earn his first professional victory, allowing four runs, three earned. The Boomers raked 18 hits with four coming from both Craig and Figueiredo. Figueiredo knocked home four with Craig driving in three. Eight players recorded at least one hits. Fitzgerald finished with three with Dawson and Berry tallying two apiece.
