Boomers Sign Catcher Logan Gregorio

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – The Schaumburg Boomers have signed catcher Logan Gregorio for the 2026 season.

Gregorio joins the Boomers after spending the spring at Auburn University, where he appeared in 25 games in the SEC. Prior to Auburn, the Yorkville, Illinois native starred at Northern Illinois, earning All-MAC Second Team honors in 2025 after leading the Huskies with a .332 batting average, 18 home runs, 69 RBIs and 151 total bases.

Before transferring to NIU, Gregorio spent two seasons at Benedictine University, batting .390 with eight home runs and 57 RBIs as a freshman before following with a .365 average, 10 home runs and 53 RBIs in 2024. Across four collegiate seasons, the left-handed hitter compiled a .347 batting average with 38 home runs and 192 RBIs.

Defensively, Gregorio has primarily worked behind the plate, appearing in 111 games as a catcher while also seeing time in the outfield. He has also gained experience in summer collegiate leagues, including stints with the Green Bay Rockers, Lakeshore Chinooks and Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.

Gregorio becomes the latest addition to the Boomers roster as the club continues preparations for the remainder of the 2026 season.
