SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers have signed outfielder Chase Dawson to the roster.

Dawson returns to Schaumburg after spending five previous seasons with the Boomers. During his time with the organization, Dawson established himself as a consistent offensive threat, batting over .300 in three consecutive seasons from 2021-2023.

Dawson enjoyed one of his best seasons in 2023, batting .332 with 130 hits, 21 doubles, eight triples and 62 RBIs in 94 games. He also stole 50 bases while posting a .397 on-base percentage.

In 2022, Dawson established a Frontier League single-season record for triples with 24.

Most recently, Dawson appeared in 26 games with the Boomers in 2025, hitting four home runs and stealing nine bases. He also spent time with León in the Mexican League and has played winter ball with Leones in Nicaragua.

Earlier this year, Dawson represented Team Nicaragua in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, appearing in four games for Nicaragua.

Dawson played collegiately at Valparaiso University from 2016-19. As a senior, he batted .324 with 55 hits, nine doubles, five triples and four home runs while posting an .896 OPS.

Dawson has appeared in 349 games with the Boomers over his career, recording 390 hits, 55 doubles, 47 triples, 23 home runs and 219 RBIs while stealing 144 bases.
