Kyle Moore Named Frontier League Pitcher of the Week

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Schaumburg Boomers right-handed pitcher Kyle Moore has been named the Frontier League Pitcher of the Week following a dominant final week of the 2026 regular season.

Moore appeared in three games during the week, combining to throw 6.0 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and no walks.

The right-hander began his week on Tuesday, September 1, tossing two scoreless innings. Moore allowed just one hit and did not issue a walk.

He followed with a perfect inning on Friday, September 4, retiring all three batters he faced while recording two strikeouts.

Moore capped the week on Sunday, September 6, with three more scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He surrendered just one hit and did not allow a walk as the Boomers closed the regular season by securing the West Division title.

Across the three appearances, Moore allowed just two baserunners over six innings, finishing the week with a 0.00 ERA and 0.33 WHIP.

Moore and the Boomers now turn their attention to the Frontier League postseason. Schaumburg opens the Wild Card Round on Wednesday, September 9 in Evansville before returning to Wintrust Field for Game 2 on Friday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will be played at Wintrust Field on Saturday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m.
