Under Fratto's leadership, Oakton established a tradition of success, capturing multiple Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championships and Region IV titles while consistently advancing players to four-year colleges and the professional ranks. Numerous former players have signed professional contracts with organizations including the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

A native of the Chicago area, Fratto played at Maine East High School before continuing his career at Oakton College and the University of Georgia. He also spent five seasons as the bullpen catcher for the Chicago Cubs from 1985-89.

Known for his extensive baseball knowledge and commitment to player development, Fratto continues to play an integral role in the success of both the Boomers and Oakton baseball programs.
