Jake Joyce enters this season as Pitching Coach for the Schaumburg Boomers after enjoying a distinguished professional playing career, including eight seasons with the organization.

A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Joyce pitched collegiately at Virginia Tech before beginning his professional career with the Boomers in 2015. Over eight seasons in Schaumburg, he established himself as one of the most accomplished relievers in franchise history, appearing in more than 300 games while recording a career 2.86 ERA and 62 saves.

Joyce's success also earned him an opportunity in affiliated baseball, spending the 2019 season in the Milwaukee Brewers organization at the Double-A level.

As Pitching Coach, Joyce brings a wealth of professional experience and firsthand knowledge of the Boomers organization, helping develop the club's pitching staff both on and off the field.
