Boomers Sign Italian RHP Ettore Giulianelli

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers have signed right-handed pitcher Ettore Giulianelli, a 22-year-old native of Rimini, Italy, adding a new international arm to the pitching staff for the upcoming season.

Giulianelli comes to Schaumburg after four seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, progressing from the Florida Complex League to the Class A level with Palm Beach in 2024. Last season, he appeared in 20 games for Palm Beach, posting a 3.96 ERA across 25 innings with 39 strikeouts. He limited opponents to 17 hits while recording 14.0 strikeouts per nine innings.

Over his professional career, Giulianelli made 57 appearances, compiling a 4.46 ERA in 68.2 innings. He struck out 104 batters while walking 76, and finished with a career WHIP of 1.70.

Giulianelli will be making his debut with the Boomers organization this season, becoming the latest addition to the club’s pitching staff.
