Boomers Re-Sign Simmons for Third Season
Schaumburg, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed infielder/outfielder Aaron Simmons, bringing him back for his third season with the club after initially signing with the team in 2024.
Simmons delivered a steady and productive 2025 campaign at the plate, appearing in 81 total games between the regular season and playoffs. During the 2025 summer season, Simmons posted a .275 batting average, recording 71 hits in 258 at-bats, including 13 doubles, one triple, and nine home runs. He drove in 41 runs, scored 47 times, drew 32 walks, and added nine stolen bases, showcasing a well-rounded offensive skill set.
In postseason play, Simmons continued to contribute, hitting .273 across nine playoff games, tallying six hits, four RBI, and a double, providing depth and reliability in high-leverage situations.
Overall in 2025, Simmons finished with 77 hits, 14 doubles, nine home runs, and 45 RBI, while maintaining a consistent presence in the Boomers lineup.
