Boomers Sign UTL Kellum Clark
Schaumburg, Ill. – The Schaumburg Boomers have announced the signing of utility player Kellum Clark for the upcoming season.
Clark was selected by the New York Mets in the 20th round of the 2023 MLB Draft out of Mississippi State University, where he competed in the SEC and developed into a consistent offensive contributor. Over three collegiate seasons with the Bulldogs, Clark totaled 30 home runs, 88 RBIs, and a .916 OPS across 140 games.
A 6-foot-3, 205-pound left-handed hitter from Brandon, Mississippi, Clark brings defensive versatility to the Boomers roster, having logged time at both corner outfield spots and first base. After his college career, Clark spent time in the Mets organization before putting together an impressive 2025 season in independent baseball. He hit .377 with 12 home runs, 70 RBIs, and posted a 1.098 OPS in 58 games with Rocky Mountain.
Clark’s ability to contribute at multiple positions adds depth and flexibility to the Boomers lineup heading into the upcoming season.
