Alex Calarco Back for 2026 Season
The Schaumburg Boomers have announced that catcher Alex Calarco will return for the 2026 season, marking his second year with the club.
Calarco joined the Boomers late in the 2025 season and quickly made an impact, solidifying himself behind the plate during the team’s postseason run. Despite limited regular-season time, he earned the confidence of the pitching staff and delivered strong performances throughout the playoffs, showcasing his defensive ability, leadership, and game management at catcher.
A Wilmette, Illinois native, Calarco brings a local connection to Schaumburg as he continues his professional career close to home. His late-season arrival and postseason contributions proved to be a valuable addition to the roster and played a key role in the Boomers’ playoff success.
With Calarco returning in 2026, the Boomers add familiarity and stability at the catching position as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
