Boomers Re-Sign 2025 Frontier League MVP Anthony Calarco

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (2.28.26) — The Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed Wilmette, IL, native Anthony Calarco for the 2026 season. 

Calarco, 26, is coming off a career season in 2025 that saw him win the Frontier League MVP award and his first league All-Star appearance. Just 50 games into the season, he broke the franchise single-season record for RBIs and is a league leader in averages and home runs. He played in 106 games in 2025, batting .350 with 147 hits, 132 RBIs, and 25 home runs. He scored 89 runs, recorded 38 doubles, and totaled 420 at-bats

Calarco, who is entering his third season with the Boomers, has been a key designated hitter for the team, anchoring the lineup and providing consistent power in run production.

Calarco was a key figure in the Boomers' 2025 playoff run, contributing 16 RBIs, 16 hits, and a batting average of .381, which helped lead the team to the championship series.
