Boomers Bookworms Reading Program Returns for 2016-2017 School Year

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers have announced the return of the team’s reading incentive program, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, for the 2016-2017 school year. The program, which debuted in 2012, promotes literacy and reading comprehension in children through a partnership with local schools.

Boomers Bookworms is open to students from Pre-K through 8th Grade. The program incentivizes and seeks to inspire students to read outside the classroom by rewarding them for reaching specific goals set by their teachers.
