Sammy Fluck enters her first season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Schaumberg Boomers after spending four seasons at Evangel University providing care to the Baseball, Soccer and Tennis teams primarily as one of their Athletic Trainers. She also spent time covering the Grip and Rip baseball league and the Show Me collegiate baseball league in Missouri where she obtained her Masters in Athletic Training with an emphasis in leadership and rehabilitation at Missouri State.
Sammy received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota and is a current member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), and holds her BOC, instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations (IASTM), and Rock Tape certifications. She has advanced training as a movement specialist including Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Vestibular/Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS) Assessment.
Sammy currently serves as an Athletic Trainer for the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. She grew up in Becker, MN as a Minnesota Twins fan, loves to go on long hikes, knows everything Disney and loves cozy hometown coffee shops for her morning pick me up.
