Schlotman made six starts among his eight appearances with the Boomers in 2022 after joining the team in mid-July and finished 4-3 with a 4.38 ERA, striking out 48 in 37 innings. The lefty started the deciding game of the championship series and threw five shutout innings at Quebec. Schlotman matched the team record by striking out 12 in a 6-0 shutout of Joliet on August 9 and posted an 18-inning scoreless streak over four starts in August. The Iowa native finished 9-1 at Mount Mercy in Iowa with a 1.64 ERA while striking out 105 in 71.1 innings.
