Simington finished his college career by hitting .383 at South Alabama with seven homers and 53 RBIs. The Central Illinois native played 11 games for State College in the MLB Draft League last summer. Simington was a Third Team All-Big Ten selection in 2021 at Purdue after leading the team with 14 doubles and logging more walks (21) than strikeouts (20).
